  1.      The MELBOURNE SUN (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia), 
  2. August 25, 1954 issue, carried an article titled "THE NEW 
  3. SATELLITES", which stated: "Two meteors (asteroids?) had become 
  4. satellites of the earth and WERE REVOLVING WITH IT 400 to 600 
  5. miles out in space, the latest issue of the American Magazine 
  6. 'AVIATION WEEK' said yesterday.  The magazine said that the 
  7. discovery of the satellites threw the air force into confusion 
  8. this summer.  Alarm over the sightings ended only after they had 
  9. been identified as natural rather than manmade."

  11. Another possibility may be that they were both 'engineered' 
  12. natural objects such as hollowed-out asteroids taken from the 
  13. asteroid belt.  The simultaneous arrival of two large asteroids, 
  14. combined with the fact that both took up a geo-synchronous 
  15. (synchronized with the revolving of the earth and positioned 
  16. always over a particular geographical location) orbit, would be 
  17. an incredible'coincidence' indeed.
